Hi there happy new year a few of us wanted to do exactly the same trip but we have not done any homework on it. Other things have over taken this. I am off to Rome and Verona this year so will have to see what money i have left to do other things.

I think accom will be expensive in monaco but might be an idea to go on trip adviser after looking at hotels and getting an idea where you want to stay in the area you seem to get really good feedback and can then make a decision.

that is what we did for budapest and the hotel was great
