Combine a passion for horse riding and mouthwatering regional dishes on this horse riding and Portuguese cookery holiday. The wonderful Portuguese country-style dishes will ensure you are well fuelled for riding dramatic backdrop and coastline of deserted Algarve beaches.

The stables that house 12 locally bred horses are set just 2 minutes’ walk from the accommodation. Here you can try your hand at exhilarating carriage driving or if you prefer you can stick to the local trekking opportunities in Costa Vincentina National Park and the stunning landscapes.

Your cooking lessons will take place in the farmhouse kitchen where you’ll learn to cook rustic local dishes in the brick oven and on the wood fired range with the help of Chef Francis who has run her own restaurants in the UK and Portugal.

Your experienced host will also teach you to make traditional bread, cook fresh fish and prepare delicious vegetable dishes to ensure you gain a culinary insight into this superb region of Portugal.

You’ll stay in a charming stone farmhouse set in 50 acres in rural Portugal just 15 minutes’ drive from the bustling harbour town of Lagos in the Algarve.

Your host, riding and carriage driving tutor David and his wife and Chef Frances will be on hand throughout your stay to ensure you have a wonderfully sociable, fun and enjoyable cooking and horse riding holiday with a difference.
