Hi All I am visiting London on Saturday 3 August and attending the Ballet with Jill and other T and L ladies on Sunday 4th.
I have been to Pompeii and Herculaneum when I visited Italy a few years back, it was wonderful and so interesting. This exhibition at the British Museum is something I would like to attend so if you are free for a few hours then please get in touch. I am not 100% on time yet as I need to book my train/coach. There might be time to visit another gallery and maybe have a meal out so I will work on that also. Hope to meet a few T and L ladies that I have not seen for a while and newcomers to the site. Michelle
In AD 79. In just 24 hours, two cities in the Bay of Naples in southern Italy were buried by a catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
Preserved under ash, the cities lay buried for just over 1,600 years, their rediscovery providing an unparalleled glimpse into the daily life of the Roman Empire
