Does anyone fancy a get together for food, drink, chat and laughs!   Just moved to area looking to meet like minded people for social gatherings

Thanks for the input - I posted Eastbourne originally but if everyone is happier with Hastings let's go for that - as some of you know it (bearing in mind I've never been) would you be able to suggest a possible venue?

Hi..i know Hastings well but

Hi..i know Hastings well but not sure about eating places....theres quite afew there along the seafront. Old Town is better. Parking is a bit of a problem but there are beach parking areas and once u have parked there are non-traffic bits. Plenty of fish and chips..! Lots of lovely little shops and browsing .. lots of old pubs etc...be lovely. I will have a think and l let u know. Looking forward to it. x

Lovely to hear from you all, how about this suggestion; we could meet for lunch on any Saturday in April/May and then we could have the opportunity to do something together in the afternoon.

Perhaps you could all email availability for the following:-

21 April
28 April
5 May
19 May
27 May

I've had to leave 12 May out as I am not available.

Really looking forward to meeting you all, perhaps you could also confirm if you have any dietary requirements at the same time.

Next suggestion then is Saturday 5 May at Picasso's Eastbourne or afternoon tea at The Grand, Eastbourne? Has anyone a preference?

I can do 5th May and don't mind where we meet, but if Anita is coming by train Hastings will be easier for her. If you decide on Eastbourne then somewhere near the station would be good, I think the Grand is a good walk away.

I could only do 5th May or 26th May ( I presume you meant the 26th -27th is a Sunday!). I could get to Hastings, but will have no transport when I get there, so hope you don't pick a venue out in the sticks!!).

Hi - Its lovely there - especially in the Old Town. I work full-time - so weekdays are difficult; unless maybe a Friday and i can take a day off and spend the weekend there with friends. Will watch this space...Sharyn :O)

Hi Jenny
I live in Tunbridge Wells and can get to Hastings or Eastbourne easily. I don't work so can make week days or weekends. I'd prefer daytime to evening, but if others can only do evenings that's OK too.

I've been planning on visiting Hastings this summer, but I don't know it at all, so it would be fun to meet up with some people in that area. There's a bus that goes from Dover all the way along the coast to Hastings, and I'm determined to try it (with my bus pass;+). Keep me informed of any plans! xxAnita
