ENGLISH HARBOUR AND NELSON’S DOCKYARD

On the southern coast of Antigua sits its historic gem: the 15-sq-mile (38-sq-km) Nelson’s Dockyard National Park and English Harbour. Some of the main buildings here can be traced to the late 18th century when the British ruled the island. The dockyard park has a museum, restaurants, and an inn. English Harbour, along with the adjacent Falmouth Harbour, is known as an international yachting center and hosts several regattas and races.
