The highlights of Long Bay, on the northeast coast (Atlantic side), are the 1,600-ft (488-m) crescent of white sand and the good snorkeling sites on the barrier reef close to shore. The bay accommodates guests from two adjacent resorts, Grand Pineapple Resort  and the smaller Long Bay Hotel as well as local families with children.

The Grand Pineapple Resort is a luxurious resort with pools, restaurants, tennis courts, spa, and watersports. Rooms are brightly done in white wicker and floral textiles, most with gorgeous ocean views out to the Atlantic. Those that are high up on the hill and the ones down on the beach offer the most spectacular vistas. Visitors on the Long Bay Beach can get lunch from the Beach House restaurant, and colorful trinkets and souvenirs are on sale from the beach vendors.
