Unlike Ocho Rios or Montego Bay, the neighboring towns of Runaway Bay and Discovery Bay are made up of a string of huge all-inclusive resorts that line the coast, interspersed with a few roadside restaurants and a couple of good beaches. Runaway Bay has the Cardiff Hall Public Beach, a handsome strip of white sand that is popular with the locals. There is no entry fee, nor are there any facilities to speak of except for a small bar and a snack shop. Located on Discovery Bay is the Puerto Seco Beach , which has a strip of pristine white sand and all the facilities. It is relatively deserted on weekdays.
