From the main coast road, the B8 Highway threads into the hills southwest of Montego Bay – a lush, green, and peaceful alternative to the sun-bleached glare of the coast. To make the best of the surroundings, it is a good idea to turn off for Lethe  and follow the signs to the secluded and serene Nature Village Farm. Inside the property, sweeping lawns and football pitches lead down a hillside to the banks of the Great River, overhung by lianas and towering stands of bamboo. There are several places to take a dip and it is also possible to go on a relaxing tube ride down the river on huge rubber rings. Visitors can enjoy a meal or drink at the open-air restaurant overlooking the water.
