May start trip in either Tibilisi and end in Istanbul

I am 64 years old and has travelled in different parts of the world eg SE Asia, Europe, North America, India, ect. Physically fit as I hiked The Camino Frances last year from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago.

I am planning to eventually cover most of the Silk route but at this moment focusing on these three countries. Still researching but has a more definite idea of how I want to approach this trip. Having travelled extensively in Turkey in 2016, my idea is to explore more of Georgia and Armenia and perhaps end the journey in Istanbul or the reverse. I would like to include Azerbaijan in my itinerary but that may not be possible due to time constraint. My style of travel may not suit those who have already expressed an interest. I am planning to travel mostly by train and local buses. For instance, if I am going to begin my trip from Istanbul, I will hop on the train from Istanbul to Ankara, then Ankara to Kars, and then to Batumi and then Tibilisi. If interested, please get in touch.

*Dear All,

Due to the illness of a family member and other personal reasons, I have decided to defer this trip to 2021. Cheers, Lee
