I haven't really explored much of mainland Europe (despite being so close!) and I figure now is as good a time as any to do so. My idea is to get an inter-rail pass and for up to two weeks in mid-late September explore a bit of mainland Europe starting off in Belgium then onto a couple of places in Germany and one place I would really like to visit is Saltzburg in Austria and then knowing how tiring travelling can be I thought it would be nice to end the holiday on a beach somewhere, maybe northern Italy, or Spain or southern France. So it is a rough plan and as long as there is a bit of beach time at the end I don't really mind where or how we get there!
