I would like to discuss the travel situation in Egypt right now. I foresee a stay in Cairo for a few weeks then explore other areas of the country. The focus would be on exploring ancient Egypt legacy and how it fits in the modern society of Egypt. Another focus would be to discuss certain social issues such the role of women in the region. A mixture of ruin exploration and reading of archives and meetings with local guides/scholars would be wonderful.
Anybody went there very recently? Any tips? What to avoid? Anybody interested in such adventure?
I am also a diver and will surely have a stay at some point closer to the coast for that.
