Cultural Adventures

I am a semi retired teacher,enjoy the outdoors with my 2 dogs and white racing pigeons with whom I do the occassional wedding release.
I have always been adventerous but age clipping my wings,which I dont mind. Never been one for make up and fashion after my teens.
I love nature and all things green.
I am easy going and looking for a troup or group of individuals to have a special holiday, like swimming with dolphins or something inspirational.

I am a retired professor of English from Toronto, Canada but I have lived in London, close to the river, for 5 years. Have done a lot of European travel and lived in France for awhile. I like to paint, write, go to opera and sit in parks. I am divorced with two adult daughters who work in London and I often travel with them but they are much faster than I am now... Am a bit of a coffee drinker and can think of nothing nicer than sitting in the main square with a flat white, watching the people, reading books, working on the language of the day. Worked in a museum as a journalist forty years ago so never miss a gallery even if it is just for half an hour. Shores, wharfs, ports are a big favourite as well--as is sunshine... and the more the merrier.

Just shy of 28, I'm getting my teaching certificate. Graduated from college in 2010 with a degree in history and a minor in French. My skill level in French is shaky; never did a semester abroad and truthfully, I'm not dedicated enough to study it on my own. When in France, chances are I'll be able to understand 75% of the conversation and then ask where the bathrooms are. I'm really good at asking where things are. Lived in Colorado for 8 months in 2011. I made a lot of international friends when I worked at a resort so I've got places to stay and tour guides all over the world.

Eventually, I'd like to trek in Nepal, Africa and Patagonia. I'd love to see Central and Eastern Europe, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, safari in South Africa or Kenya and hang out in Brazil and Peru. Basically, I want to travel and I'm pretty open to where that happens.

Full disclosure, I'm not the most organized person in the world, or the wealthiest, so my ideal travel plan would be one that's well-planned with an allowance for wiggle room on a shoestring budget. I'm also willing to discuss time abroad.
