Plan to hire a car and see as much of Crete as possible - without rushing -stop where it suites

Hi . I have already booked my trip to Crete. I arrive in Chania on the 18 May 2019 and stay 3 days. Then I plan to branch out from there.

This  is a bit of a nostalgia trip as I spent 10 months living in Crete in the early 70’s ( in a cave, then on the beach, picking olives to survive- it was magic). I have been back 3/4 times over the years. And each trip has been different.

I would like to hire a car and travel all over for minimum of 1 week with the option of 2 weeks. I have absolutely no itinerary, don’t wish to rush , but want to see everything!! Would even be open to extending to 3 weeks if the magic was happening.

Am planning on seeing other islands but again nothing fixed and no itinerary. The ferry from Crete connects the Cyclades and that is an option.

It would be great to share this with another traveller (s). If any of this appeals, please contact me and we can have a chat.

ps. Whilst I have been a member for a while this is my first time to post. Cheers
