Safari trip to Tanzania followed by rest and relaxation on Zanzibar.
I’m planning a trip to Tanzania the first two weeks of September and would love a travel buddy. The dates and itinerary are set.
- Arusha National Park
- Tarangire National Park
- Nogorongoro Crater
- Central Serengeti
- Northern Serengeti and a chance to see the Wildebeest migration
- Optional 3 days for rest and relaxation
Trip includes: private guide, transfers, all meals on safari, all internal flights for the Zanzibar option. Mid range accommodations. For an example, see Kati Kati camps. All accommodations are equivalent to this or nicer. (Private bathroom for all accommodations). Cost: $4500 US approximately- this is for both the safari and Zanzibar. The safari alone would be less.
This is my first trip to Africa, but we will hopefully see elephants, giraffe, zebra, lion, cheetah, various species of monkeys and birds. Possibly hippo and rhino. This is a trip where we will spend a lot of time tracking and watching animals in their natural habitat, and learning about Tanzania. Perfect for someone who likes active vacations, wants to experience and learn about Africa, takes good and bad as part of the adventure (though hopefully there won’t be any bad!). I am an easy going, typical Canadian :)
