This week we talk to Valerie, who at 74 has recently returned from a 3 month trip to Moshi, Tanzania. She tells us all about helping preserve bamboo and filling plastic bottles, which are being used to build a rural school. She truly doesn’t let the grass grow under her feet because other trips have included white water rafting down the mighty Zambezi river where she fell out twice and was hauled back onto the raft before she could be devoured by crocodiles.  The very next day she went on an elephant trek through the bush on a 36 year old bull elephant … enough said!
